Our Story
Opened in 1946 by Margaret and Jack Christiansen, the Bend, Oregon tavern has been a downtown staple since. Originally serving beer and wine to local loggers and railroaders, the tavern has grown to be known for live music, billiards and a favorite locals hang out.

This place is awesome. The staff is absolutely amazing and their food is pretty good also. Super fun atmosphere 😁 and it's attached to the cheapest laundromat in town.

This is my Cheers! I can walk into M&J anytime, by myself or with friends, and feel comfortable and welcomed into the fold. It also happens to have the biggest Tequila selection in Central Oregon and probably the biggest in the state.
